I love my gopro, but I am interested in what other people are using and what they think.

Last January my brother kindly lent me his contour hd to go on holiday with and I found it a little to heavy whilst attached to my goggle strap,it felt like it was being pulled off the side of my head.It seemed simple to use I thought ,just slide the top button forward to record and slide it back to stop but in the bulky waterproof case the slidey button didn't always work and I ended up with an hour of hd footage of the bottom of my rucksack with no way to delete the file.
It was way to fiddly for my likes, the power button was a pain to use whilst in its case and I ended up taking it out of the case to turn it on .It's not all the camera's fault, I should of played with it a lot more and understood it before I went on holiday.
Anyway I brought the gopro hd hero the other day and its a brilliant bit of kit, simple to use and you have a choice to delete the last file you've recorded or delete everything . An easy to see red light flashes to tell you that it's recording or you can turn it off for stealth mode .Also you have a little screen so that you can change any of the settings .
My brother now wants to sell his contour and get the gopro.
I spent last night attaching the gopro to the end of an adjustable pole to get the sort of footage thats in some of this video
Edited to add this video ,which gives a better idea http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1CDKePXxonA&NR=1

I have seen those videos before, they are very cool, it will be my riding that will stop me getting really first rate footage. You said that you have a pole like in the first video, what sort of pole do you have? I have a hiking pole that I am planning to use but the size of the pole is too small for the mount. I was considering getting a 1.5m long 3/4 inch carbon fibre tube as that would work perfectly and would be lighter than the hiking pole, only issue is it won't be collapsible.
