poppy jumps & flat landings

Dear all,

What is the meaning of this sentence:

"The jumps are a little weird, really poppy with a flat landing"

That was said by one of the skiers in "European Freeskiing Open"

I don't know, I guessed that by "jumps", he means "kickers" but I'm not sure. Also, I couldn't get what "flat landing" means.

One more thing, please. Does the ski field in this European competition is not "natural"? like it's a skiing resort where everythng is man-made? Is that it?
