Strangely enough, I am currently planning a 3 day coach ski trip to Perisher for my daughter in the middle of July, from Sydney, as she will be in Australia during the summer.

I hope there will be enough snow for her by then. It looks like quite a good ski resort :D

I very much enjoyed Perisher - vivid memories of cruising through the gum trees under the Olympic chairlift! The linked resort of Blue Cow is even better - more challenging ski-ing and the snow was better. Vivid memories of a howling blizzard in August!

I too had a great time at Perisher. Twas odd skiing beside eucalyptas trees. We had a cupboard clearout a couple of days ago, and ended up with all the old Aussie photos spread out. I still have two pairs of skis in Sydney......

Lota and Dave, is there enough ski-ing for a week?

And where exactly did you leave your skis Dave? My daughter could do with a pair of those to use at Perisher

Yes, with Smiggins, Guthega and Blue Cow, there probably is enough for a week - as long as everything is open and running!

I stayed in Jindabyne - like an Australian version of Aviemore - and drove each day to a different resort, either using the SkiTube or going straight to Thredbo etc.
