Vercorin
The Swiss ski resort of Vercorin is part of the Sierre-Anniviers Ski Area with access to 80 individual pistes. In addition to the skiing in Vercorin itself (14 pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Sierre-Anniviers ski resorts of Grimentz, St-Luc / Chandolin and Zinal.
With skiing above 2000 metres, snow cover is generally reliable.
Snowmaking :- Vercorin is able to augment natural snow, with 8 Snow Cannons.
Ski Lift Capacity :- The 10 Ski Lifts of Vercorin are able to uplift 6,100 skiers / snowboarders per hour.
There are three airports within two hours drive, so ski weekends, snowboard breaks and short ski holidays to Vercorin are perfectly feasible. Sion Airport is just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.
