Les Crosets - Ski Resort in Portes du Soleil, Swiss Alps - 100km of Piste (1660m to 2277m)

A small ski station best suited to dedicated skiers, with five hotels (Hôtel Télécabine, Hôtel des Portes du Soleil, Hôtel le Relais Panoramique, Hôtel l’Etable and Les Crosets Mountain Lodge) located at the foot of the ski slopes. This village, located at 1,668m, is the ideal jumping-off point for families, sports lovers and anyone who wants to explore the Portes du Soleil.

In winter, the resort has a quick link connection with France over the spectacular pointe des Mossettes lift (2,277m). The experienced instructors at the Swiss Ski School await beginner and advanced skiers and snowboarders alike for lessons and guiding. Freestylers can get their fill of thrills in the Snowpark which, according to those in the know, is one of the world’s best! The bravest may tackle Chavanette, otherwise known as the ‘Swiss Wall.’

Les Crosets is not just about skiing. A multitude of other activities await visitors including snowshoeing on marked trails or a ride down the sledging run. Special events include nighttime sledging, Snowpark competitions and ski races.

Les Crosets

The Swiss ski resort of Les Crosets is part of the Portes du Soleil ski area with access to 423 individual pistes, served by 209 ski lifts. In addition to the skiing in Les Crosets itself (100km of pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Portes du Soleil ski resorts of Champéry, Champoussin, Morgins, Torgon, Abondance, Avoriaz, Châtel, La Chapelle d'Abondance, La Grande Terche, Les Gets, Montriond, Morzine and Saint Jean d'Aulps.

The ski resort itself is above 1500m, so skiing or boarding back to the resort is usually possible. With skiing above 2000 metres, snow cover is generally reliable.

Snowmaking :- Les Crosets is able to augment natural snow, on 3km of ski runs, with 14 Snow Cannons.

Ski Lift Capacity :- The 35 Ski Lifts of Les Crosets are able to uplift 47,000 skiers / snowboarders per hour.

There are three Airports within two hours drive, so ski weekends, snowboard breaks and short ski holidays to Les Crosets are perfectly feasible. Sion Airport is just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.
