Picturesque old village and year round tourist destination. The Empächli cable cabin begins from Obmoos, just outside the village, and takes skiers up to the Schabell restaurant at the base of the main ski area above the tree line. There's also a sledge run back down to Elm from here.

The Swiss ski resort of Elm has direct access to 35km of downhill skiing, with 12 individual pistes, served by 7 ski lifts.

With skiing above 2000 metres, snow cover is generally reliable.

Snowmaking :- Elm is able to augment natural snow, on 8km of ski runs, with 7 Snow Cannons.

Ski Lift Capacity :- The 7 Ski Lifts of Elm are able to uplift 7,000 skiers / snowboarders per hour.

There are three airports within two hours drive, so ski weekends, snowboard breaks and short ski holidays to Elm are perfectly feasible.
