Champoussin - Ski Resort in Portes du Soleil, Swiss Alps (1680m to 2350m)

A small purpose-built ski station built in tasteful Swiss 'giant chalet' style and thus looks older than it is. Much of the resort life is centred around the Residence Royal Alpage Club, one of the few après-ski options. At a relatively snow-sure altitude it has a key position in the giant Franco-Swiss Portes du Soleil region.

The Swiss ski resort of Champoussin is part of the Portes du Soleil ski area with access to 423 individual pistes, served by 209 ski lifts. In addition to the skiing in Champoussin itself 87pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Portes du Soleil ski resorts of Champéry, Les Crosets, Morgins, Torgon, Abondance, Avoriaz, Châtel, La Chapelle d'Abondance, La Grande Terche, Les Gets, Montriond, Morzine and Saint Jean d'Aulps.

With skiing above 2000 metres, snow cover is generally reliable.
