Skiing in Panticosa
Panticosa (Aramon), Spain (1500m to 2220m)
A traditional village linked by chair to a largely intermediate ski area. Snow-making was introduced in the early 1990s and the ski area drastically increased in size in the last years of that decade with doubling of uplift, inclding four new chairs and an 8 passenger gondola, taking the ski terrain up a further 200 metres. The purpose built centre of Formigal with a further 50km of trails is nearby.

Panticosa
The Spanish ski resort of Panticosa is part of the Aramon Ski Area with access to 202 individual pistes. In addition to the skiing in Panticosa itself (34km of pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Aramon ski resorts of Cerler, Formigal, Javalambre and Valdelinares.
With skiing above 2000 metres, snow cover is generally reliable.
Snowmaking :- Panticosa is able to augment natural snow, on 12km of ski runs, with 110 Snow Cannons.
Ski Lift Capacity :- The 15 Ski Lifts of Panticosa are able to uplift 13,335 skiers / snowboarders per hour.
There is an airport within two hours drive, so ski weekends, snowboard breaks and short ski holidays to Panticosa are perfectly feasible.
