Ski Bláfjöll - Ski Resort and Snow Summary

Skiing in Bláfjöll

Bláfjöll, Iceland (480m to 700m)

Iceland's largest resort, an easy drive on a slightly dangerous road (gravel surface) from Reykjavik. The lifts are split in to five unlinked but neighbouring areas, with much floodlighting of the piste - vital at such a northerly latitude with little winter light. A 5km loipe is also floodlit. Best to stay in Reykjavik and commute.
