Freudenstadt is a major cross-country ski centre in the black forest, with two lifts locally. However a further down or so small drag lifts are located along the Schwarzwaldhofstrasse or Black Forest Road between 2 and 10km (1 - 7 miles) from the resort centre. Used partly to access cross-country terrain, and partly for limited downhill skiing and tobogganning, These lifts are not connected to one another, there are six toboggan runs in the area.
