Les Saisies - Ski Resort in Espace Diamant, French Alps - 70km of Piste (1150m to 2000m)

An excellent Nordic ski centre facing Mont Blanc and overlooking Beaufortain and Val d'Arly. There is also good Alpine skiing with the vast Espace Crystal linked to Crest Voland Cohennoz. In the 1992 Winter Olympics all the cross-country and biathlon events were held here.

Les Saisies

The French ski resort of Les Saisies is part of the Espace Diamant ski area with access to 185km of downhill skiing, with 226 individual pistes. In addition to the skiing in Les Saisies itself (70km of pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Espace Diamant ski resorts of Crest Voland Cohennoz, Flumet, Notre Dame de Bellecombe and Praz sur Arly.

The ski resort itself is above 1500m, so skiing or boarding back to the resort is usually possible.

Snowmaking :- Les Saisies is able to augment natural snow, with 49 Snow Cannons.

Ski Lift Capacity :- The 24 Ski Lifts of Les Saisies are able to uplift 20,000 skiers / snowboarders per hour.

There are six Airports within two hours drive, so ski weekends, snowboard breaks and short ski holidays to Les Saisies are perfectly feasible. Chambery Airport is just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.
