Wettersteinbahn - Ski Resort in Austrian Alps (1000m to 2964m)

Ehrwald has two local ski areas - the Ehwalder Alm and the Wettersteinbahnen-Sonnennang. The local glacier skiing is reached by bus or car and cable car from this picturesque village on the German border. There are numerous other small skiing areas nearby, offering a combined total of around 200km in trails on the Pass.

Wettersteinbahn

The Austrian ski resort of Wettersteinbahn has direct access to 21 individual pistes, served by 24 ski lifts.

With pistes above 2500 metres, skiing and snowboarding is assured throughout the season.

Snowmaking :- Wettersteinbahn is able to augment natural snow, on 20km of ski runs, with 113 Snow Cannons.

Ski Lift Capacity :- The 24 Ski Lifts of Wettersteinbahn are able to uplift 22,743 skiers / snowboarders per hour.

There are five Airports within two hours drive, so ski weekends, snowboard breaks and short ski holidays to Wettersteinbahn are perfectly feasible. Innsbruck Airport is just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.

Half Pipe and terrain park on the Ehrwalder Alm and on the Platt of the Zugspitz and Wetterstein. The Better Park is located on the Ehrwalder Alm.
