Together with Schruns, this is the largest settlement in the Montafon Valley, sharing the regional pass which takes in over 65 lifts and over 200km of terrain. Austria's first chair lift opened here in 1947.

Tschagguns

The Austrian ski resort of Tschagguns has direct access to 21km of downhill skiing, with 8 individual pistes, served by 9 ski lifts.

With skiing above 2000 metres, snow cover is generally reliable.

Snowmaking :- Tschagguns is able to augment natural snow, on 13km of ski runs, with 26 Snow Cannons.

Ski Lift Capacity :- The 9 Ski Lifts of Tschagguns are able to uplift 12,000 skiers / snowboarders per hour.

There are four airports within two hours drive, so ski weekends, snowboard breaks and short ski holidays to Tschagguns are perfectly feasible. Friedrichshafen Airport is just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.
