A traditional family ski centre with a population of just over a thousand. It is nonetheless usually a lively place with three discothèques operational in the evenings. The skiing is accessed from the edge of the village and joins to that above Bad Mitterndorf.

The Austrian ski resort of Tauplitz has direct access to 30km of downhill skiing, with 30 individual pistes, served by 22 ski lifts.

Snowmaking :- Tauplitz is able to augment natural snow, on 15km of ski runs, with 20 Snow Cannons.

Ski Lift Capacity :- The 22 Ski Lifts of Tauplitz are able to uplift 20,850 skiers / snowboarders per hour.

There are three Airports within two hours drive, so ski weekends, snowboard breaks and short ski holidays to Tauplitz are perfectly feasible.
