Stubai - Ski Resort in Austrian Alps - 50km of Piste (1720m to 3200m)

One of Europe's largest glacier skiing areas is open for snow sports from October to July, giving snow security for everyone based within a 50km radius. This includes residents of Innsbruck, who have an inclusive lift pass with ski bus. There's no resort as such, but several villages nearby.

Stubai

The Austrian ski resort of Stubai has direct access to 50km of downhill skiing, with 26 individual pistes, served by 19 ski lifts.

With pistes above 2500 metres, skiing and snowboarding is assured throughout the season.

Snowmaking :- Stubai is able to augment natural snow, on 1km of ski runs, with 6 Snow Cannons.

Ski Lift Capacity :- The 19 Ski Lifts of Stubai are able to uplift 28,540 skiers / snowboarders per hour.

There are five Airports within two hours drive, so ski weekends, snowboard breaks and short ski holidays to Stubai are perfectly feasible. Innsbruck Airport is just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.
