Königsleiten (Zillertal Arena), Austria (1600m to 2300m)
Lift-linked to Gerlos at the top of the Ziller Valley, Wald im Oberpinzgau's skiing on nearby mount Königsleiten is the only Salzburgerland ski centre on the Super Zillertal Pass, which includes 400 km of piste in resorts such as Mayrhofen. Off slope attractions include Europe's highest planetarium.

Königsleiten
The Austrian ski resort of Königsleiten is part of the Zillertal Arena ski area with access to 143 individual pistes. In addition to the skiing in Königsleiten itself 122ski lifts), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Zillertal Arena ski resorts of Gerlos and Zell am Ziller. Königsleiten is directly linked by Ski Lift to the ski areas of Gerlos.
The ski resort itself is above 1500m, so skiing or boarding back to the resort is usually possible. With skiing above 2000 metres, snow cover is generally reliable.
Snowmaking :- Königsleiten is able to augment natural snow, on 35km of ski runs, with 100 Snow Cannons.
Ski Lift Capacity :- The 50 Ski Lifts of Königsleiten are able to uplift 75,135 skiers / snowboarders per hour.
There is an airport within two hours drive, so ski weekends, snowboard breaks and short ski holidays to Königsleiten are perfectly feasible.
