Kals am Großglockner, Austria (1325m to 2350m)

Kals first came to fame in the early 1960s when it opened its first chairlift in 1961 and became the leading ski area in the East Tyrol. The Gamslift (T-bar) and Brunnerlift (T-bar) followed.

In 1995 the ski asrea went in to partnership with the Sölden lift company and several regional banks and three new quad chairs were built, including Figol and Gschloss, with a fourth quad, Beschneiungsanlage, added in 2000.
