A small village of less than 1000 inhabitants but with above-average facilities, including an indoor tennis hall. The local ski area is lift-linked to Zell am Ziller, Konigsleiten and Gerlosplatte and is part of the 640km Super Zillertal Valley pass.

Gerlos

The Austrian ski resort of Gerlos is part of the Zillertal Arena Ski Area with access to 143 individual pistes. In addition to the skiing in Gerlos itself (115km of pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Zillertal Arena ski resorts of Königsleiten and Zell am Ziller.

With skiing above 2000 metres, snow cover is generally reliable.

Snowmaking :- Gerlos is able to augment natural snow, on 71km of ski runs, with 319 Snow Cannons.

Ski Lift Capacity :- The 40 Ski Lifts of Gerlos are able to uplift 52,450 skiers / snowboarders per hour.

There are three airports within two hours drive, so ski weekends, snowboard breaks and short ski holidays to Gerlos are perfectly feasible. Innsbruck Airport is just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.
