The Location

Tignes Les Brevieres dates back to the 13th century and is one of the oldest and prettiest of the five villages that make up Tignes. At an altitude of 1560 metres and well integrated into the area by a quick and efficient chair lift, the resort is considered to be a hidden gem. Located in the Tarentaise valley, at the foot of the Espace Killy ski area, it is more peaceful than the other resorts within the area, however there are still plenty of things to see and do. The resort has all the facilities needed to enjoy a holiday there including 6 bars, 7 restaurants, the ESF ski school and a supermarket.

The resort is very much classed as both a winter and summer resort. In winter the north facing tree lined runs leading into the village are great for white out days and the resort is high enough to have excellent snow coverage. Also in winter, there are various activities such as an ice driving circuit, dog sledding, hang gliding and snow shoe walking. The other resorts are linked not only by the ski lift but also a free bus. In summer there is a football pitch, tennis courts, a skate park and even boats can be hired out for the lake!

The Ski Area

Tignes Les Brevieres is just one of the resorts that makes up the Espace Killy (including Val D Isere), one of the largest ski areas in the world. With 300km of piste and 97 chair lifts, including 5 free lifts for beginners, there is something and enough for everyone.
