Having been owned and decorated by Candia Peterson, grand-daughter of renowned architect Sir Edwin Lutyens, this farmhouse is nothing but spectacular. Lutyens, at first famous for his country houses before WWI, went on to design such things as the Cenotaph and the fountains in Trafalgar Square, war graves across Northern France, and his flag ship buildings in London. Keeping in good faith with its owners unique ancestry, the farmhouse today is also absolutely stunning and beautifully interior-decorated. The building itself is an old Savoyard farm - parts of which are over 200 years old - but it was refurbished in 2003/2004 with new electrics, hotel-sized boiler, and complete refitting of bathrooms and kitchen. In entering the house, you are welcomed by an open living/dining/kitchen area with double-height ceilings and two large balconies on both the east and south sides, which look out onto the spectacular mountainous view.
