The Location

The development is located in the new area of Flaine to be developed, Flaine Hameau situated at 1850 metres. All the residences being constructed in this new area are of a traditional style and the views from the site are breathtaking. All of the apartments and chalets are south facing and make the most of the stunning mountain scenery. The new resort Hameau 1850 will include shops, restaurants bars and all the facilities you need to enjoy your holiday. The resort is now divided into 3 areas, Flaine Hameau at 1850, Flaine Forum, the heart of the resort (which is mostly traffic free) and Flaine Foret, linked to Flaine Forum via the Funicular (open 24 hours per day) lying a little higher up the hillside and having its own bars and shops.

There is everything you would need in the 3 resorts at Flaine? supermarkets, sports and equipment rental shops, ski school, restaurants, bars and the lift system. Being only 70km from Geneva it is a short transfer and easily accessible. Flaine offers a wide range of skiing from the novice to the expert skier and is particularly family-friendly. With North and North West facing slopes, Flaine (1600m- 2480m) holds its snow well and is renowned for being a snow-sure area with 28 lifts and 120km of ski slopes. The excellent nursery slopes are located right next to the resort centre with gentle greens and blues for easy progression. The Grand Massif Ski Area

The Grand Massif (700 ? 2480m) is an impressive area with runs for all grades of skier, with 265km of slopes, 78 lifts and 218 snow cannons. Flaine links into the surrounding villages of Samoens, Les Carroz, Morillon and Sixt. There are gentle greens and blues for the beginner - 42% of the slopes in Grand Massif are blue runs. More than a third of the runs are red in Grand Massif so the intermediate skier is very well catered for. There are black runs for the expert skier (11%) with some challenging off-piste blacks which are accessed with a guide. Boarders will find some fantastic riding. Freeriders will find the area above Samoens waiting to be exploited and tree-lined runs down to Les Carroz. The snowboard park in the Auron area of Flaine (JamPark Pro = Jib and Air Maniacs!) will satisfy those looking for jumping and spinning and even a childrens half pipe (Fantasurf).
