Ranging from 1000 metres to a high altitude of 2468 metres there is something for every level of skier and boarder. The Pr? La Joux lift takes new skiers to the high-altitude beginners slopes and there is a wealth of piste for intermediates - over 280 runs linking the whole of the Portes du Soleil. For the advanced skier there are several challenging black runs to satisfy the most demanding of abilities. Boarders will find there are 11 snow parks, including 3 half pipes, more than enough to test the most experienced.

Being close to Mont Blanc, the snow record for Ch?tel and the Portes du Soleil is excellent. The snow starts falling in early December and lasts until the end of April making this one of the most snow-sure domains in Europe.

Summer Activities

As well as the excellent skiing there are numerous other activities to enjoy at this all year round village. Water sports at nearby Lake Geneva, activity and climbing centres, walking, rock climbing, mountain biking, cycling, rafting, swimming, fishing and tennis are to name but a few!

The Mountain Bike Park in Pr?-la-Joux is a special area dedicated to enthusiasts. There are 13 mountain biking trails (12 of which are downhill runs) at all levels of difficulty and there are several fun areas for beginners.
