The Location
The picturesque ski resort of Bolqu?re - Pyr?n?es 2000 is situated in the Cerdagne area of the Pyr?n?es Orientales department in the Pyr?n?es region and is part of the Neiges Catalanes ski domain. The ski lift pass allows you to ski in the 9 other Neiges Catalanes resorts including Font Romeu, Les Angles, Puyvalador and Cambre dAze. The lift served area extends from 1800 metres to 2200 metres and there are 54 km of lift served runs, 111 km of cross country trails as well as a snowpark. Due to the high altitude of the resort and pistes, the snow cover is generally excellent and there are 500 snow cannons just to make sure.
Bolqu?re itself is a small community with all facilities you would expect including plenty of restaurants and bars, shops, supermarkets and ski hire. There are plenty of activities to enjoy here in winter and summer including snowshoe walking, paragliding, ice skating, bowling, hiking and swimming as well as various events running throughout the year. It is a superb all year round destination with easy access to other ski resorts in the area and other villages in France as well as Spain, which are beautiful to visit in the summer.
The Languedoc area itself is experiencing a healthy growth in property prices year on year and is becoming increasingly popular with tourists due to more international flights going to the area. Perpignan airport is just over an hour away, Carcossonne 1hr and 45 minutes and Toulouse just over 2 hours.
