All-girl Snowboard Movie - Transfer
The Scottish Premiere of Transfer, an all-girl Snowboard Movie, will be at Macdonald Aviemore Highland Resort on Friday 2nd September.
Transfer is the follow-up to DropStitch, last year’s highly successful all-girl snowboard film from ChunkyKnit Productions. The film is directed by Aviemore’s Lesley McKenna and features a cast of top international female snowboarders. Transfer was filmed all over the world from Japan to Europe to North America. Alongside Lesley, two of the stars of Transfer - Swiss snowboarder Tina Birbaum and England’s own Jenny Jones will also be present.

Award winning Cairngorm Brewery will present a meet and greet from 6.30pm with special guests Alain and Noel Baxter and snowboarders Jenny Jones and Tina Birbaum as well as Lesley Mckenna There will be opportunities for interviews and pictures during this time. This will be a unique chance to catch up with the three prospective Olympians in their hometown in the run up to the 2006 Winter Olympics.
The film will be showing at 7.30pm.
All proceeds will go towards the Badenoch and Strathspey Schools Snow Sports Association who help give the local primary school children the chance to ski or snowboard each winter.
