Sunshine and Fresh Snow in Formigal

As predicted, snow fell from Thursday till Monday on the resort of Formigal in the central Spanish Pyrenees.
A thick white blanket of snow now covers the entire resort after 50cm of the white stuff fell during the weekend and in some places depths of 1metre have been recorded. Snow cats have been hard at work preparing the slopes to open on Saturday 29 November but due to the copious amounts of snow this date may well be brought forward. We’ll keep you posted!
Formigal is Spain’s largest resort and makes its debut on the UK market this year. Getting there couldn’t be easier, hop on a direct flight from London Gatwick which takes just two hours to reach the regional airport of Huesca. >From here you get straight on to the snow bus for the 75 minute transfer to the sunny, uncrowded slopes of Formigal.
