Snow in Victoria, Australia
Australian Ski Resorts in Victoria have been blessed with as much as 15cm of new snow following snowfalls overnight.
As reported by the Herald Sun, the snow has fallen with just over a week to go before the start of the ski season, and has raised hopes of good skiing conditions for the early season.
Mount Buller spokeswoman Amber Gardner said last year was one of the worst seasons in decades and locals were banking on a turnaround.
…The highest dumpings were at Falls Creek and Mount Hotham, where 15cm of snow fell.
A fall of five centimetres was recorded at Lake Mountain, Mount Stirling, Mount St Gwinear and Mount Buffalo, Victorian snow reporter Maureen Gearon said.
More snow is forecast later this week and into the weekend, looking good for the ski season’s opening weekend.
