New Igloo Village For Andorra
The five increasingly well-known Igloo Villages in Engelberg, Gstaad, Davos-Klosters, Zermatt and Zugspitze will arise from the snow right on time for the beginning of the winter season. This year the award-winning Swiss company behind them all, Iglu-Dorf, will add its first location in the Pyrenees mountains – an Igloo Village at Grandvalira in the middle of the snow and shopping paradise Andorra.
You can opt to spend the night in any one of the six newly constructed snow palaces or simply stop by to drink a mulled wine at the Igloo Bar in each location whilst staying in regular accommodation at one of the resorts.
The new snow palace in Grandvalira will be at 2300 meters above sea level with a fantastic view of the surrounding mountains. In addition to the Igloo Village, there will be two igloo bars also available for events and to quench your après-ski thirst. Husky sleigh rides and snowmobile rides are an additional attraction.
Two options are available for an overnight stay at all Igloo Villages. There are standard or romantic igloos. The latter have their own whirlpool baths and are offered this season in Davos-Klosters, Gstaad, Zermatt and Grandvalira, the new location in Andorra.
The Igloo Village in Davos-Klosters is entering its second season at 2620 meters above sea level. The Igloo Village Engelberg is the largest of all with 44 spaces for overnight guests, an event igloo for events with up to 100 people and even a snow chapel where you can say “I do” in the icy white snow. The Igloo Village Gstaad on Eggli mountain is a small, family-oriented Igloo Village that fascinates its guests with its love of detail. The igloo guests can enjoy the luxury of a Romantic Igloo with special packages “Lovers Paradise” in cooperation with the Hotel Arc-En-Ciel in Gstaad and “Fire & Ice” in cooperation with the Lenkerhof alpine resort available. From the Iglu-Dorf Zermatt you can lie in the hot tub and enjoy the view of the Matterhorn from the Igloo Village below the Gornergrat ridge and the Iglu-Dorf Zugspitze is the highest hotel in Germany with a view that will take your breath away.
