Hot Skiers Chill Out at the Igloo in Formigal
The latest addition to the large variety of bars and restaurants at Spain’s coolest Ski Resort of Formigal was opened last weekend and has been a big hit with skiers and snowboarders.
The Iglu Bar, a ski-in, ski-out venue on the slopes, has a large outside terrace with live music while inside there is cosy wooden furniture and the bar serves cold snacks, sushi, duck ham, alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails, vodkas and champagne.
The large bar is made of ice and while the frozen walls are cold to the touch, you’ll be guaranteed a warm welcome. And one thing’s for sure, with the continuing snowfall in the resort the igloo won’t melt. So, come into the cool at Formigal.
Formigal, in the central Pyrenees, is Spain’s largest resort and makes its debut on the UK market this season. Getting there couldn’t be easier, hop on a direct flight from London Gatwick which takes just two hours to reach the regional airport of Huesca. From here you get straight on to the snow bus for the 75 minute transfer to the sunny, uncrowded slopes of Formigal.
