First Snows for Colorado
CBS4Denver report Cheers For First Snow Of Season.
Light snow fell Wednesday in parts of the south-central Colorado mountains in what ski industry officials cheered as the first snow of the season.
John Kyle of the National Weather Service office in Grand Junction said there was an isolated report of light snow north of Steamboat Springs a few days ago, but Wednesday was likely the first report of light snow over a broader area.
Light snow was reported on Monarch Pass and in Leadville, but nothing substantial, Kyle said.
