Early Snows for Austria

Exceptional early snow, particularly across the Tirol region, has allowed some Austrian Ski Resorts to open well ahead of schedule.

Kitzbühel opened some runs last Saturday, six weeks ahead of schedule, and the earliest in its history. Well over a metre of fresh snow has fallen there in the past week, whilst a few resorts such as Lech have seen almost two metres of snow.

All the Austrian glacier ski resorts are open and reporting good skiing conditions including Sölden, Hintertux, Stubai (Neustift), Kaprun and Dachstein (Schladming).
