Courchevel provides exclusive pistes for the very rich
According to the The Seoul Times, Courchevel is once again courting controversy by allowing the chairman of Samsung to reserve three slopes for his personal use at various times during his planned three week stay.
“Lee Kun-Hee is coming for a Samsung seminar. He’s learning how to ski and is very worried about his safety,” Claude Faure, director of the Societe des Trois Vallees, told AFP.
The local press have sharply questioned the development. The daily Dauphine Libere, which first revealed the story, said:
“For the first time in France, a station has reserved some of its slopes for a very influential skier.”
