Turin Winter Olympics start in 50 days
Preparations for the Winter Olympics in Turin continue apace, amid concerns about the numbers of spectators being provided for. Accommodating the athletes necessarily takes priority, but security and transport constraints are likely to challenge large numbers of potential visitors to the events.
A new article from Reuters
highlights spectator limits for the Biathlon and Ski Jumping venues.
…only 6,500 spectators will be able to follow the (Biathlon) competition directly as capacity is limited by transport and security constraints…
…limits also affect other mountain venues such as Pragelato, where a few forlorn spectator stands look oddly out of proportion against two imposing ski jumping slopes.
If you plan to go (to spectate) then you probably do need a plan.
