Torino 2006 - Half Tickets now sold

With half the one million tickets for the Turin 2006 Winter Olympics sold, sales will be suspended for three weeks to allow seat allocation.
Now the ticket sales to the public will be suspended for three weeks, from Friday, September 2nd to Monday, September 26th, 2005, to allow the assignment of seats. Up to now, in fact, the tickets sold were not associated with numbered places, waiting for the completion of the work at the Olympic sites and final data on the facilities and the capacities of the venues. From September 2nd, with the start of the “seat assignment procedureâ€?, the tickets will be associated to the places, guaranteeing the optimum placing of the public in relation to the venue structures. The places will be assigned with a random system of algorithms, using the same criteria common to all large sports events, and approved by the International Olympic Committee.
