Michael Milton takes Australian Speed Skiing Record
The awesome one-legged skier, Michael Milton, today became Australia’s fastest skier.
The 33-year-old recorded a speed of 213.65 km per hour on the flying kilometre at Les Arcs, France, breaking the national record of 212.26 km per hour set in 1977 by his two-legged compatriot Nick Kirshner.
His achievement closely follows a Silver medal at the Turin Paralympics, and a string of previous Olympic medals.
