Set amidst a rocky Alpine landscape, this historic mountain hotel is located at 2,165 metres above sea level on the Grimsel Pass. The scenic Räterichsboden Lake is just steps away. In 1142, the Grimsel Hospiz was the first guesthouse in Switzerland mentioned in documents. In 1932, it became the first electrically heated hotel in Europe. The restaurant serves traditional Swiss cuisine, as well as a wine cellar and a bar. Guests can relax in a fireplace lounge and a lounge offering panoramic mountain views. Free Wi-Fi is available in public areas. The elegant rooms at the Alpinhotel Grimsel are furnished in a 1930s style. They offer a minibar, a work desk, and a TV.
