The monastery is comprised of a set of buildings, including a medieval monastery, a hostel monastery and a religious community of Marist brothers. The establishment was founded in the 12th century and has a Gothic church and Romanesque cloister. The remains of the Counts of Urgell are preserved in the church. The original tombs of the Counts are housed in “The Cloisters” Museum in New York.
