Hostel Celica, LjubljanaThe Point of Peace, the room for prayer, meditation and contemplation and other spiritual activities is situated on the first floor. It has 6 niches of major global religions and one empty niche for all other religions and has been blessed by the religion's highest representatives in Slovenia. Hostel Celica offers a lively cultural life. Every Tuesday night a concert followed by a jam session welcomes international musicians. The hostel's art gallery Srecisce on the ground floor regularly hosts international art exhibitions. Additionally, the cultural programme includes workshops, poetry readings, debates and presentations on various themes from literature, philosophy, music to nature, aesthetics and history. Every day at 14:00 a free guided tour of the hostel takes place. The hostels ground floor, apart from the Oriental Café, is wheelchair-friendly. |

Located in the immediate vicinity of the Main Bus and Railway Station and 700 metres from the city centre, the old military barracks of Austro-Hungary stand to this day. The former prison has been demilitarised only after Slovenia's independence and the departure of the Federal Yugoslav Army. It was renovated and transformed into an outstanding youth hostel in 2003. The renovation process was supervised by more than 80 Slovenian and foreign artists who are proud members of the Sestava Society.
