Closed within the castle walls, here you can enjoy a strategic location, between Gubbio and Perugia, and wonderful view over the Chiascio Valley. The scene of many important events of the past, Petroia Castle was also the birthplace of Federico da Montefeltro, the Duke of Urbino, in the 15th-century. Restored between 1982 and 1990, the original features have been carefully maintained within the 3 buildings: Castellare Maggiore, Castellare Minore and Mastio. |
