Il Capannino is a charming 17th-century farmhouse 5 km south of Pieve Santo Stefano. It offers brightly coloured rooms with wood-beamed ceilings and an organic Slow Food restaurant. Rooms at Il Capannino have rustic wooden furniture and handmade terracotta floors. They all offer panoramic views across the Tuscan countryside. Specialising in traditional regional cuisine, the restaurant serves a buffet breakfast and an à la carte menu at dinner. It also hosts temporary exhibitions by local artists. The farmhouse produces its own olive oil, honey, fruits and vegetables which are all available to buy. Gluten-free meals are also available on request. Il Capannino is set inside Poggio Rosso Nature Reserve, 45 minutes' drive from Arezzo. Parking is free on site and the SS3 national road is nearby.
