Michel de la Derriere created his dream alpine lodge by dismantling a 1927 Russian farmhouse (some of the wood still bears the scars of the 1941 German occupation) and then painstakingly rebuilding it in the pine forests above La Tania. After years of planning and much sweat and tears, the results are clear to see. There are authentic weathered beams wherever you turn, a log burning stove and carefully handcrafted furniture. There are full en suite facilities in every room, cable TV and the luxury of a heated ski room with individual boot warmers.

Chalet Folyeres is considered locally to be one of the smartest chalets in La Tania (the locals call it 'Le Beau Chalet - the beautiful chalet') and when you sit in the bubbling outdoor hot tub and look out over the resort, it is somewhat hard not to agree. The elegant living room has huge comfy sofas clustered around a cosy corner fire, designer lighting and a wrap around terrace with delightful views. Each of the cosy, timber-clad bedrooms is extremely well furnished with terribly smart bathrooms and balcony. It is only a couple of minutes walk down to the resort centre and piste, making Folyeres our most popular chalet in La Tania.

Chalet Lea is structurally identical to Chalet Morgane next door. Nonetheless, we have gone to great lengths to make sure that each home has a character of its own, which in the case of Lea meant hours spent trawling through Alpine antique shops for ski and farming memorabilia.

Chalet Morgane is situated in a quiet spot above La Tania, at the end of our private drive and opposite Chalet Elliot. Our chalets are surrounded by pine trees and enjoy a remarkable view of the Bozel valley. Morgane and Lea are identical adjacent timber chalets and have been designed and equipped to our own specification. We wanted homely traditional ski chalets with open fires, good sized sitting rooms, exposed beams, bedrooms with en suite bathrooms, loads of hot water and lots of hanging space.

Chalet Beriozka benefits from good space standards throughout. Well situated in a quiet location below the main road which runs through La Tania, this chalet is a traditionally built wood and stone chalet with an appealing charm. The resort centre is approximately 200m away and the nearest lift is also 200m walk. The chalet has a comfortable lounge with satellite TV and log fire for those relaxing evenings after a hard day on the slopes. In our opinion this is a comfortable chalet in a good location enabling easy access to The 3 Valleys ski area.
