Chalet Christiane - Description

Evolène is at a height of 1,380 m on the plateau of Val d'Hérens, the main district of the village with the same name. As regards surface, this is the fourth district in Switzerland but it has nevertheless remained an authentic traditional village.

In the winter, you can enjoy splendid panoramas, great paths and challenging ski runs. A real health spa for the whole family: 100 km of ski runs, 35 km of cross-country ski runs, two natural skating rinks, ice water falls, skiing trips, heli-skiing, supervised snow walks, on so-called rackets, etc. In the “green” season, you will find here a major network of walking paths in the mid- and high mountains, mountain huts, a mountaineering- and climbing school, 100 km of extended mountain bike paths, fishing, tennis, a “Vita” track, village festivals, trade fairs, trips to the alpine meadows “combats de reines” (folklore), concerts, etc.

The apartment “Chez Christiane” (65 m2) is on the second floor of this typical, rustical and traditional village house. The holiday location is to the south of the old centre near all village facilities such as the baker, a grocer’s with regional products, restaurants, crêperies, a butcher, a bank and a cinema. You have a great view onto the roofs of the village and the apartment is in a sunny location. In the winter, the ski area of Chemeuille is just 3 km away and a few meters from the ski bus stop. You are also right by a cross-country ski run. In the summer you are at the beginning of many easy walking routes and near the river.
