Hillegonde - Description

The Hillegonde holiday home (95 m²) is around 1600 m high and located above the town of Visp, bordering the famed Saasdal (Saas Valley). You can go straight up to the ski runs from your holiday home! After an exhausting day outdoors you can come back here to relax in a warm bath or warm yourself up in front of a crackling fire in the fireplace. You can use the common swimming pool, solarium and sauna in the hotel next door for a fee.

Bürchen is a quiet town located on a gorgeous mountain plateau, and it is known as the ‘town of birches’. The town is the tourist centre of the Augstbord area. The area is perfectly suited for making robust hiking trips. There are many marked hiking trails and mountain paths (around 500 km of them). The region is made up of thick forests and rich Alpine flora. There is a training run (fitness-parcours), and there are many places where you can have a picnic in the fresh mountain air. You can make various bus excursions to breathtaking glaciers and many other nice places for an outing, of which Saasdal has many.

The winter sport enthusiast will find a perfect destination in Bürchen. Bürchen has a great ski area with 6 ski lifts, which will bring you to the well prepared ski runs. With a maximum height of 2550 m, the area has much to offer both beginners and more experienced skiers. There is a Swiss skiing school which will gladly bring you up to speed in the fine art of skiing. Various events are organised, including torchlight processions, guest games, street competitions and skiing trips. There are also cross-country skiing routes, lighted sledding runs and hiking trails. After a full day of skiing, you can go enjoy the different restaurants in the town and their Swiss cuisine.

Bürchen is the ideal holiday resort both in summer and winter, for guests of all ages!
