Casa Cueva Lopera - Description
Lopera is attached to Cortes and Graena. It is a peaceful village with a now rare rural atmosphere. It makes a wonderful place in which to relax or carry out any number of open air activities, without forgetting its proximity to Granada (25 mins away), Guadix (5 mins away), the Sierra Nevada (25 mins away) and the beach (2 hours away).
The dwelling is entirely hand constructed, dug out of the rock by hand more than 80 years ago with a technique that is no longer used, giving the property its unique character. It is situated in a prime location and is a far cry from other over crowded types of housing. It is naturally bioclimatic with a constant indoor temperature of 18°C all the year round. For those who have never stayed in a cave, prepare for a truly unique experience.
