Casa Siena - Description
This attractive first floor holiday apartment is located in Siena old town, 50 m as the crow flies from the Cathedral and 100 m from Piazza del Campo, in a very quiet location with magnificent views over the San Domenico Basilica. It is fully furnished with great attention to detail.
The building in which the apartment is located was constructed from a XV century convent. On one side there are other constructions, built into the XIII century walls and on the other, where the bedrooms are located, the views to the west are unobstructed and offer a splendid panorama.
This family-orientated holiday apartment makes the perfect base from which to visit the centre of Siena; a 10-minute walk will take you to any one of the local museums which include The Italian National Picture Gallery, Santa Maria della Scala, The Metropolitan Opera Museum, The Civic Museum and The Selva District Museum, the town’s best restaurants, theatres, cinemas and the bus station with lines departing for all regional and national destinations. It is also an excellent base for reaching the most coveted destinations in Tuscany. Aside from the awesome surroundings, with a myriad of picturesque villages brimming with history and culture, San Gimignano is just 36 km away, the Chianti region- 20 km away, Florence- 60 km away and Arezzo- 57 km away.
