Gîte La Source - Description
This mountain style cottage is in the resort of Risoul Village, 1,000 metres above sea level. It’s an old renovated farmhouse overlooking the Durance valley, with an extremely beautiful view of Mont-Dauphin citadel and the Ecrins Massif.
Living in this duplex type apartment (60 m2 approx.) is good. You can relax there after days spent in the open air or simply laze around. Upstairs, under the eaves (access via a steep staircase) there are 2 bunk beds and a convertible bed to sleep 2.
The resort of Risoul (20 minutes) at 1,850 metres above sea level is connected to neighbouring Vars and together they form the “Forêt Blanche” skiing area, with over 180 km of signposted runs.
Cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and dog-sledding provide a number of opportunities for getting out into the wild open spaces of Queyras Regional Park. Spaces that enjoy a rich diversity of fauna and flora. In summer, the Durance and Serre Ponçon lake enable visitors to practice rafting and kayaking as well as providing opportunities for fishing and swimming.
