Mas Bancaou - Description

A superb Provence house (220 m2) situated in the heart of the countryside amid vineyards, pines and evergreen oaks, on the borders of Drôme and the Papal Enclave in Vaucluse, close to the small village of Montségur where you will find all the small shops you need. Magnificently renovated and equipped, this property will captivate you with the charm of its old stonework, its authenticity, the quality of its services and its decoration. There is a large courtyard and a terrace in the shade of a huge plane tree under which you will be able to have your meals, with a little to one side, the large swimming pool, enclosed for the safety of your children.

The large, comfortable lounge opening onto the dining room has a glazed floor where three metres below, you can see the water which in the past powered the mill. Up two steps, the superb dining room opens onto the courtyard on one side, and on the other onto a small terrace overlooking the sort of country stream you only dream about. Upstairs four bedrooms, including one with a mezzanine sleeping two children, overlook a large terrace.

The country environment without neighbours ensures absolute peace.

To visit: Grignan chateau (15 km), Orange (23 km) with its triumphal arch and Roman theatre, Montélimar (24 km): the Miniature Museum, St Remèze and area (15-20 km): Ranc Pointu view point, Caving Museum, prehistoric Zoo and the superb "Haute Corniche". Vaison-la-Romaine and its ruins are 25 km away.
