The Quartier Village des Ruches apartment hotels are situated on the slopes only metres from the ski lifts in the resort of Avoriaz. This is a pedestrian-only resort and cars must be left in one of the indoor or outdoor car parks (extra charge). Your apartment is well equipped and has a TV. Most of the apartments have a balcony. A DVD player is also available (must be booked, with an extra charge). The Grand Avoriaz ski area offers excellent skiing. The altitude guarantees a permanent snow cover throughout the season (on average 8 metres in the winter). Avoriaz is an innovative resort and uses the landscape to create real play parks for the whole family : skiing becomes « snow-cross » in the raised turns on the slopes ; « boarder » slopes are now also « canyon » slopes.
