Welcome to Alpe D’Huez. This ski resort, enjoying exceptional sunshine throughout the year, has long been known as the ‘Ile au Soleil’ (sun island)! The Olympiades residence is situated in the Cognet district, nearby the resort centre. The accommodations are comfortable, well equipped and regularly looked after. Some details of the description may differ, especially concerning surface, fittings, exposure and whether there is a balcony or ski locker. As a general rule the lounges have a sofabed for 1 or 2 persons, the sleeping cabins or alcoves have 1 or 2 bedspaces mostly on bunk beds and the bedrooms offer 1 or several single or double beds. Photos are not binding and the fittings and decorations of the apartments may vary. Situated on the grassy plateau on the southern side of the Grandes Rousses massif, Alpe Huez offers a vaste ski domain adapted to all levels. The massif boasts a stunning panoramic view and exceptional sun exposure, in general 300 sunny days per year. There is a wide range of activities on offer such as: dog sledging, snow shoe tours, visits to the ice cave, gym, paragliding, tobogganing, indoor adventure trail, ice skating, workshops… Adults and children alike will be delighted.
