La Taulière - Description
This characteristic house with swimming poll (10 x 5m)stands in the middle of the countryside, 2,5km from the village Tresques where various basic shops can be found, as well as tennis courts. Bagnols sur Cèze lies within 7 km northwards, where you can find everything you need in grocery shopping. Gorges du Gardon, de Pont du Gard …
Tresques has an ideal location, between various places of interest and historic points.
When you leave the Cevennen via Alès direction Avignon, you will come to Uzès, an old duke city which were able to keep a couple of beautiful buildings, with a medieaval square in the centre. The evenings are filled with music during the 'Nuits Musicales d'Uzès' and there is a pleasant, lively atmosphere.
Thereafter follow the Pont du Gard and thereafter Avignon , an old papal town that does not need an introduction anymore, because of how famous it is.
Further to the north, follow the Rhône, you will come to several of the famous vineyards of the Côtes du Rhône and thereafter at Orange, famous because of its beautiful protected Roman ruins were kept protected such as the triumphal arch and the old theatre where presently all sorts of representations are kept.
Further, you can always go to the Mediterranean Sea coast with its beaches (La Grande Motte which lies on approx. 60km and to the Camargue).
