Gîte de Ville - Description

This cosy apartment (65m2), fully and smartly furnished, is sutuated on the 2nd floor under the centuries old beams of the villa. Naturally, you have your own entrance with a beautiful situated terrace with barbeque. The villa has a royal garden with more terraces, where old chestnut trees gives wonder shade during the summer.

The apartment is situated in Saint-Nectaire, a picturesque town in the mountains of the Massif du Sancy in the Auvergne, 30 km south of Clermont-Ferrand. Saint-Nectaire has among other things a beautiful Roman church from the 12th century, the thermals, the old Roman baths, Parc Aventure and the Caves the Cornadore. Then there is Saint Nectaire, which is an ideal base for beautiful hikes through the (mountain) landschap, lovely/sports cycling routes and splendid motor trips. In the direct surrounding, there are many lakes to swim and sunbathe; at some of these lakes there are canoes or boats for hire. For golf lovers there are 4 golf courses (9 and 18 holes). Highly recommended is the Parc Vulcania, a very captivating open-air park about volcanism, unique in Europe! Perhaps unexpected: even in the winter you can enjoy it greatly over here! Within 20 min. drive you will find an extensive winter sports area (1300 - 1800 m) with approx. 100km skislopes and 200 km langlauf possibilities. (Snow guaranteed from Mid Dec. to begin April). In short, an ideal surrounding for versatile and enterprising people.
